Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

The man who changed a country

Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., born on January 15, 1929 in Atlanta, Georgia, was one of the many who worked to accomplish civil rights in the United States of America.  He was the most famous leader in the movement.  Dr. King was not only strong, but he chose the right way to deal with things.  While others wanted to fight for rights physically, he decided to take care of things peacefully.  Like Gandhi, another powerful leader, Martin Luther King, Jr. was nonviolent.  He chose to handle things without hurting others.  For these reasons, Dr. Marin Luther King, Jr. triumphed. He did not do the things he did for recognition, he did them for the rights of his fellows.  Peacefully, he worked things out.  Peacefully, he made a difference.
