Martin Luther King, Jr.

A poem

In a time,

There was a want

There was a question,

That they wanted answered

They wanted freedom,

But they needed a plan

But the question kept coming back,

What can we do about it?

One man,

That was all it took,

One man,

Named Martin Luther King, Jr.

This man,

Had the answer,

Had a plan

This plan included talking,

Not fighting,

Not killing,

Not physical,

But talking

In this time,

"Blacks" weren't the same,

The same as "Whites"

Segregation,

That was all it took

To make the need

To make a plan

Dr. King,

He was called,

Knew what to do,

He led the "blacks"

Into victory

While doing so,

Creating a role model,

Himself,

To lead leaders through time,

Never to be forgotten,

Never at all
