His Life
Martin
Luther King Jr. was born January 15, 1929. He grew up in Atlanta, Georgia.
As Martin grew
up he became a minister after his father. A church in Montgomery, Alabama
offered him a job as the churches lead minister. He accepted and moved to Montgomery.

g He went to Boston
for his studies during school. While he was there in school he meet a woman
named Coretta Scott. They then fell in love. In June 1953 he and Coretta
married. As he was a minister he became to be against the “Jim
crow”. The “Jim Crow” was the nick name they gave to the
black and white segregation. This made blacks have separate schools, doors,
even water fountains then whites. He then started leading many non-violent
civil rights movements. Over time he was arrested over 8 times for protest.
After many years of non-violent civil rights movements, he won the Nobel Peace
Prize for all the alternative ways to solve problems other than violence that
he used.
