About Me!
My name is David Pillar and this is my 6th year teaching at Bloomington High School North. I currently teach Honors Government, Core 40 Government, and Topics in Social Science: The Culture of American Sport. I am also Senior Destination Project Co-Coordinator. I coached the BHSN Freshmen boys basketball team and was a member of the staff that led the Cougars to two Sectional Championships (2002, 2004) and one Regional Championship (2004).
Originally from Toronto, Ohio, I am a 2001 graduate of Indiana University here in Bloomington where I was a manager for the IU Men's Basketball team for three years under Bob Knight and one year with Mike Davis. You can catch me at the scorer's table for all IU Men's home games as I am the official score keeper.
Also at IU, I teach M403, a Seminar for pre-service Social Studies teachers and co-teach HPER A483 Principals of Officiating Basketball with Mr. Marcus Debro. He and I can be found traveling the highways and back roads of Indiana during basketball season as we officiate varsity boys and girls contests across the state with our friend Chip Snively, a Finance professor at Indiana University.
I look forward to working with more of the wonderful students and faculty here at Bloomington High School North in the 2006-2007 school year!
