No Child Left Behind

The "No Child Left Behind" Act determines whether schools attain Adequate Yearly Progress (AYP) using the percent of students passing the Math and English portions of the ISTEP test. The percentage of students passing in every subgroup must meet a specific level in order for a school to meet AYP. In corporation groups for which there are less than 50 students, and in school groups for which there are less than 30 students, no determination is made.
