Full-Day Kindergarten:
MCCSC offers Full-Day Kindergarten in the two highest poverty elementary schools, Templeton and Fairview. These programs are funded through a combination of the MCCSC General Fund and state full-day kindergarten grant dollars.

Half-Day Kindergarten:
The traditional Half-Day Kindergarten Program is available in all schools with the exception of Fairview and Templeton where only the full-day program is offered. The half-day program is funded by the legislature and is offered with only a materials fee charged.

Kindergarten-Plus:
The Kindergarten-Plus Program is a full-day program that extends the day for youngsters with a certified teacher. Based upon the interest of parents, a proportionate number of classes of Kindergarten-Plus will be opened in schools. The cost of this program is $7.22 per day or $1300.00 per year.

Parents/Guardians will be expected to commit to the program for the full school year. Payment will be assessed on a monthly basis. Fee waivers are available for families that qualify for Free or Reduced Lunch. An instructional materials fee is assessed to pay for expendable workbooks and other materials. Parents will also be expected to either provide or pay for lunch at school.
