I received CFG coaches training in the summer of 2004. Since then I have been involved in three CFG groups. |

As an offering for MCCSC spring professional development, I lead a session on matching non-fiction books to curriculum. The selections I used represented many K-12 curriculum standards. |

I have supported teachers as they use data to inform their instruction. Beginning with PBA work in 1996 and creating graphs in Excel through participation on the Data Team for Batchelor, I have promoted use of data to impact student achievement. NWEA and lexile data has impacted the way we using reading materials to differentiate instruction. |

As library media specialist, I have had many opportunities to assist teachers using computer technology to enhance instruction. From finding useful websites to designing interactive websites, instructional strategies have been the focus of my collaborative work with teachers. |

I was given the opportunity to facilitate a faculty study regarding reading comprehension in the classroom. Using Cris Tovani’s I Read It, But I Don’t Get It, and accompanying videos, a group of Batchelor teachers learned strategies to help readers in their classes. |
