Facilities

Circulation Desk:
The desk in the library lobby where materials are checked in and out.
It is staffed with teaching assistants and other library personnel.

Magazines:
The library subscribes to a wide variety of magazines.   Back issues are
available at the circulation desk and may be checked out overnight only.

Copy Machine:
A copy machine is available for your use at a nominal fee of $.10 per
page.  The copy machine is located in the library lobby.  Ask the library
     personnel for assistance.

Audio-Visual (AV):
Audio-visual materials consist of audio and video tapes, and CD-Roms.
These materials are available upon request at the circulation desk.  The online
catalog lists the audio-visual materials by title, subject and keyword.

Paperbacks:
Check out our featured collection of fiction paperbacks on this special rack.

Newspapers:
Current newspapers to which the library subscribes are placed on wooden
stick holders and hung on the wall in the library lobby.  The library subscribes to
the Indianapolis Star, the Herald Times, the Louisville Courier-Journal, the Wall
Street Journal, and the New York Times, Sunday Edition.

Reference Books:
Reference books are located in the middle of the library on low shelves.
These books are designated in the online catalog with a "R" preceding the call
number.  Reference books may be circulated overnight only and must be turned
in before the first period class the next morning.  The librarian is available to
assist with questions and research projects.

Books:
Fiction books are filed on the shelf in alphabetical order by the first three letters of
the author's last name.  Non-fiction books are assigned a catalog number (Dewey
Decimal) by the librarian according to their subject(s) and are located around the
edges of the library.  All books are listed in the online catalog, Catalog Plus, by
subject, author, and title.   The keyword search is the most powerful, however.
Most books circulate for three weeks and can be renewed if not reserved for
     someone.
