Aurora High School: Year 15

Congratulations to Annie Hackett for receiving $24,000 in scholarships to attend Indian University next fall, 2010.  Annie will be finishing her last credits for Aurora through our new no-cost tuition dual credit partnership with Ivy Tech Community College starting next semester, January 2010.  Like Barb Curry’s technology grant form earlier this year, this is the largest scholarship award ever received by an Aurora student in the history of the school.  Congratulations, Annie!

Congratulations to Barb Curry for receiving funding for a technology grant she submitted this fall.  The amount of the award is in excess of $26,000, and will provide, among several items, twenty laptop computers for Aurora science students.  This is the largest grant award ever received here in the history of the school.

Fall Open House for 2009-2010 is Thursday, September 10, from 6-8 p.m. here at Aurora, 524 N. Fairview St.  The Open House is for both Aurora familes and the local community as well.  Come meet the teachers and see the new additions to the building!
