Cougars for Better Education

Cougars for Better Education, Inc. (C4BE) is a non-profit organization formed in the fall of 1995 which raises and disburses funds to support Bloomington High School North. C4BE supports academic, artistic, civic and athletic endeavors at BHSN through teacher grants as well as through other programs to benefit students directly. Projects supported by C4BE are those that will provide significant improvements to BHSN and are not funded by the Monroe County Community School Corporation or any other sources. We rely on volunteer efforts to direct and staff our activities, so virtually all funds raised are expended for educational projects at North. Some of our recent awards are listed below.

There are several ways that you can help C4BE in supporting Bloomington North. All contributions are tax deductible. For details about the various programs of giving, please click on the following links.

Thank You!

We really appreciate the support of all the parents and others who contributed food, funds, and their time to put on a fabulous Teacher/Staff Appreciation Breakfast this past spring. We would also like to thank Michael's Uptown Cafe for the wonderful breakfast casseroles. Thank you all -- we couldn't do it without you!

Cougars for Better Education wants to say THANK YOU to every contributor; however, in order to ensure our donors' privacy, we list only corporate donors on our Web site.

Of the thousands of dollars donated each year, the majority is donated directly to C4BE by individuals including parents, teachers and alumni. Funds are also raised in various fundraising events such as the on-going Buy-A-Brick program.

Money donated is used primarily to fund grants to teachers in any number of departments at BHSN. Additional expenditures were made for Teacher/ Staff Appreciation and Faculty Professional Development. For a list of the funded grants please click on the following links:
