Old Business
April Chitwood is the parent rep. for gymnastics
May 3, 2009 is the First Annual Spring Fling and Fundraiser at 6:00pm. This event is being spear-headed by a number of parents with children in different sports. The focus of this event is to recognize student athletes, coaches and bring families together to build a tighter community. The evening will begin with a silent auction, activities that appeal to the athletes and to younger members of their siblings and culminate with a spaghetti dinner and a new Mental Attitude Award that is selected by the AD’s from recipients of the Mental Attitude award from all sports.
Items for the silent auction must be delivered to Cindy DiPrimio by April 17th. Each sport is being asked to donate 5 items to the auction and baskets will be put together by volunteers with notation to each participating sport.
The spaghetti dinner is being prepared by the Hoosier Hills class with the amount needed being determined by advance ticket sales. The price is $10 for an individual or $20 for a family. A limited number of tickets will be available at the door.
Apparel For all the work that has gone into ordering Cougar sportswear and other paraphernalia along with displaying it at sporting events the Booster club has only made $400. So, while some things will still be available at the bookstore for purchase benefiting the Booster Club most others will not be available any longer.
A special meeting of the Board for the Booster Club will be held on March 9, 2009 at 6:30pm to go over the new Booster Club Handbook. Elaine will be sending out reminders to Board members.
