TREASURER’S REPORT

Kris reported that our cash balance is currently $34,948.

We have been able to give approximately $29,161 to the Athletic Department for various expenses and improvements.  Approximately $9,000 was also cleared out of the individual sports accounts.  Concessions and Sports Pass sales have been up this year while Sponsorship monies have remained about the same.

The treasurer’s report was approved on a motion made by R. Hanna and seconded by C. Jackson.

ATHLETIC DIRECTOR

Mr. Fletcher reported that the turf for the football field should be approved this evening at the school board meeting.  It should be in by the end of July or first part of August.  He is not sure if they will be able to install a new track this year or not.  There will be a spring coach’s meeting soon and team pictures will be taken the last week in March.  Mr. Fletcher also asked that the Booster Club help pay for a bill to help cover substitute teachers that were used when our coaches were at training sessions and away from their classrooms.  R. Hanna made a motion to pay the bill for substitutes in the amount of $5,700.  K. Stratten seconded.  Motion passed.

OLD BUSINESS

CONCESSIONS

Ruth reported there will be 7 home track meets and baseball has 21 home games so we will need lots of concession workers.  Deanna will be able to help with baseball.  The Coke trailer will be delivered to softball this week.

APPAREL

Jeremiah brought in an example of a maroon sweatshirt that we can purchase for $7.50 each and sell for a profit.  These could be displayed and sold in our concession stands.  Cindy agreed to talk with the southside Kroger about selling BHSN apparel in their store.

PROGRAM

Chris reported through email that the he is waiting for team pictures to be taken to finish the program.   It was also reported that we have received all of the ad money.  Ruth will let Chris know that Buccetos and Bloomington Hardware would like to update their ads.

Chris also informed us that because of work changes he will not be able to be a part of the Booster Club next year.  This means we will need to find someone to take over the sports programs next year.

WEBSITE

Mr. Simic is still working on getting the website linked to BHSN.

CHICK FILET

Jeremiah read a proposal from Chick Filet concerning selling their sandwiches through our concession stand.  It was decided this should not be pursued.

D. Turner made a motion to adjourn the meeting.  K. Stratten seconded the motion.

Motion passed.   Meeting adjourned at 6:00 p.m.
