ATS RULES 1. Students must arrive at ATS by 8:00. 2. Students must follow all rules and policies of their school handbook. Students must follow the rules of the building which houses the ATS program. 3. Tobacco or illegal drugs are not allowed in the building or on the grounds. Violators will be ticketed by the Bloomington Police Department. 5. Students must work on academics completely during study/ work time. No sleeping, talking, drawing or daydreaming during this time. 6. No electronic devices are allowed: walkman, cell phones, beepers, games, radios, etc. Laptops are allowed with approval of the ATS staff. 7. No visitors are allowed during the school day. 8. Students cannot leave the building for any reason during the day. 9. On arriving, students must put their books and materials on their desk/table. Backpacks, purses, and coats will be locked away for the day. They will be accessible under the supervision of a teacher. 10. Dress Code: The dress code of the student’s school will be enforced by the ATS staff. 11. Lunch will be under a teacher’s supervision. Food and drinks are not allowed during work/study time. Gum is not allowed in the building. 12. Bathroom breaks are given at a scheduled time. Teachers will escort students to the restroom. 13. Students must treat each other with respect and common courtesy. 14. Prescription Drugs must accompany their original bottle. |

EXPECTATIONS Students are expected to arrive on time each day of their assigned stay at ATS. Students who habitually arrive late will not be allowed entry to the building (parent, guardian or school administrator will be contacted to provide transportation home). Students are expected to follow all the rules as listed in the above section as well as those rules and policies that are enforced by their school. Students are expected to bring all necessary school supplies, books and assignments, in order to be able to complete all school assignments. Students are expected to perform some form of academic work AT ALL TIMES. This includes assignments from their schools, assignments given by the ATS staff, reading newspapers, or reading school appropriate books or magazines (as determined by the ATS staff). Students are expected to bring their own lunch. If a student forgets to bring a meal, they may have lunch delivered to them by a family member (regular delivery of meals is discouraged). Delivered meals can only be for a single student. Deliveries from restaurants will not be allowed. Students will be expected to come to ATS with a respectful and cooperative attitude toward the ATS staff and the other students attending ATS. |

DISCIPLINE Discipline at ATS is a very serious matter. Students in attendance at ATS are expected to strictly comply with all school policies and expectations of the ATS staff. Failure to comply with the established rules of ATS or the expectations of the ATS staff will result in one or more of the following actions being taken: Student will be officially reprimanded and a request will be made that the student be returned to ATS for an additional stay. Student will be asked to leave ATS immediately (parent, guardian or school administrator will be contacted to provide transportation). Student will be removed from the premises by law enforcement officers. Students will be banned from returning to ATS for the rest of their academic career. |
