HISTORY AND STATISTICS

ATS has been in existence since the 2000/2001 School Year.  The program was created by Dirk Ackerman, Assistant Principal of Edgewood High School, to serve the schools of the Richland Bean Blossom School Corporation (RBBSC).  After one successful year of operation, Mr. Ackerman decided that the program could excel by collaborating with the Monroe County School Corporation (MCCSC).

Beginning in the 2001/2002 school year, ATS added service to the schools of the Monroe County School Corporation.  Management of the program shifted to MCCSC, under the direction of Assistant Superintendent Mike Shipman.  Financial costs for the program are shared between MCCSC and RBBSC.

ATS moved to the Broadview building for the 2005/2006 school year, and became a part of the Teen Learning Center and Adult Education. This move allowed the ATS program to expand its resources and curriculum for students.
