I began my career as an educator in the fall of 2004 at Tri-North Middle school teaching science. Before becoming an educator, I worked for 12 years for the Department of Defense as a chemical engineer. I live in Ellettsville Indiana. I am married and have 6 children, Michael, Gabriel, Moses, Kina, Sarah and Lonneka. I enjoy playing my flute and singing, both of which I do at my church. I enjoy being outside. I love to garden, take long walks, and just sit and enjoy the sounds of nature. One of my favorite things to do is to sit and read a good book on my porch with a cup of coffee in the morning or a cool glass of tea or lemonade in the evening. I particularly enjoy inspirational and historical fiction. Some of my favorite times are when my family camps in various state parks. I have taking up bicycle riding and my goal is to first ride in the Hilly Hundred Bike Tour and then participate in a week long bicycle tour vacation. After that I might even consider a tour that last for several weeks. We shall see.
