The Curriculum, Instruction and Assessment Department serves as the information center for various assessments in the district and coordinates the following:  

  • Indiana Statewide Testing for Educational Progress Plus (ISTEP+)
  • ISTEP+ End-Of-Course Assessment (ECA)
  • Indiana Reading Evaluation And Determination (IREAD-3)
  • ACCUPLACER (Grades 11-12)
  • Acuity Readiness (Grades 3-8)
  • Acuity Diagnostic (Grade 2)
  • Acuity Predictive (Algebra I / English 10)
  • Northwest Evaluation Association (NWEA)
  • National Assessment of Educational Progress (NAEP)
  • Trends in International Mathematics and Science Study (TIMSS)

 Contact Information for Other Assessments:

  • The National Center and State Collaborative (NCSC) alternate assessment and the Indiana Standards Tool for Alternative Reporting (ISTAR) used to measure student achievement are coordinated through the Special Education Office


  • Acuity Readiness / Predictive Assessments are used to monitor student learning of the new standards and to provide measurements for grades 3-8 students in English / language arts, mathematics, science and social studies. Acuity Diagnostic is assessed at grade 2 for English language arts and math. Acuity Predictive is used for Algebra I / English 10 assessments.


  • WIDA ACCESS assessment is used to determine a student’s level of English proficiency is coordinated through the Office of English Language Learning.
