Don’t let the name fool you – it’s not for student golfers, (although you should not rule them out). Our name merely reflects how we raise the funds for our applicants. |

No rigid model for a Wells Scholar. Among the criteria to be considered are outstanding performance in high school as evidenced by class rank; GPA, PSAT, SAT, or ACT scores; range and depth of academic courses; special academic honors and awards; unusual personal qualities as indicated by extracurricular activities, community service, or independent initiatives in any area; unusual talent in a specific area. A recent profile of Wells Scholars includes an average combined SAT score of 1490; most were in the top 5% of their graduating classes. All were active in extracurricular activities. Nominated by high school faculty. |
