Textbooks

We will read from a number of texts, among those will be:

• Elements of Literature, 6th Course (Holt, Rinehart, and Winston)
• Paperbacks to be issued as we need them: including Mythology (by Edith Hamilton), The King Must Die, Once and Future King, Shakespeare Alive!, a Shakespearean play-Hamlet or Othello), a collection of Sherlock Holmes short stories, and an Agatha Christie novel. Other materials may be added later.

Materials

In every class you will be required to have:

• A pen with blue or black ink
• A pencil
• Lined paper

I recommend you have a binder to keep your log, papers, quizzes, tests, exercises, notes, etc.
