for the 07-08 school year is on Monday, May 12th at 6:30 p.m. in the Binford
Library. If you are considering a
position on the PTO board for next year or would like to know more about any
of the committees that perform duties for the various functions throughout
the school year, please plan to attend. PTO is a great way to stay up-to-date on school
matters and to let your voice be heard and ideas known! Thank you to our PTO presidents, Stephanie Oyler and Julie
Curry for their outstanding job and dedication this year as well as all of the
other parents who so generously volunteered their time and talents to make this
another successful year! Carnival!! Thank you to all who volunteered their time from set-up to attending
with your child(s) at this year’s carnival!! It was once again a phenomenal success. Your hard work and commitment to our school’s
success shines through!! A special
thank you to the carnival committee chairs, Lori Brinegar and Kari
Costello. Well done ladies! No School There will be NO SCHOOL on Tuesday, May 6th. Last Day of School May 27th is the last day of the 07-08 school
year! HELLO SUMMER!!!! PTO Educational This spring, the PTO awarded over
$7,600 in grants for curriculum enhancement for 18 different programs. For a detailed list of all the requests
funded, check out the March 2008 PTO Newsletter. Requests come directly from Rogers and
Binford teachers and go directly to our students. Award money comes from the proceeds of PTO
fundraising programs. Thank you to Bobbie Saccone and Lee Bowlen, EOG co-chairs.
Rogers/Binford Family Partners This program is
designed to match families that have been at Rogers/Binford for at least
one year with families who are new to the school. This creates an opportunity for new
families to have a contact person to help them get to know the community and
resources available to them. Sign up forms were
sent home in your child’s “take home” folder. Please fill out the information and return
to Jenny Noble-Kuchera. For questions,

PTO President’s
Welcome Welcome to the 2007-08 school year! The Rogers-Binford Parent Teacher
Organization (PTO) is an active partner in the success of our school. We work closely with the teachers,
administrators, and staff to support school programs, assist students, and
promote the involvement of parents in our school. All parents at The PTO hosts a number of fun and important activities throughout
the school year. A good way to stay
informed about PTO happenings and events is to read the monthly PTO
newsletter that is sent home with each Rogers-Binford student. Please be aware that any PTO information
sent home with your student will be on goldenrod colored paper. Only PTO uses this color. You may also check the PTO bulletin boards
located in the hallways at both Rogers and Binford, or visit our PTO website at
