The popular Sally Foster fundraiser will kick-off September 29th.  Our school keeps 50% of all sales and every dollar raised will be used to support vital programs that benefit our students and tremendous staff!  Remember that you can order on-line as well and products will be shipped directly to your door!  This option is available all year long.  Just enter the school code that will be provided on the order form that comes home with your student.

 

Fall Educational Opportunity Grants

Fall semester EOG application process begins September 2nd.  Applications are due on September 26th.  Click on the links below for Guideline and Application forms.

The PTO will award grants to worthy projects that significantly impact student learning.  Requests come directly from Rogers and Binford teachers and go directly to our students. Click on the grants/fundraising link on the side to get more information or to see projects funded last year. 

 

PTO Meetings

The next PTO meeting will be on Thursday, October 16 at 6:30pm in the Rogers Library.  There will be an EOG review meeting just before at 5:30pm in the Rogers Library.  All are invited to attend.

§         November 4 – No school (Election day)

 

Fundraisers

Support our schools through the many programs available such as Kroger Cares and Box Tops for Education.  Many of these programs take very little time and effort on your part but has a huge impact on our school.  Click on the GRANTS/FUNDRAISING link above to see the opportunities available to you to raise money for our school!

 

Rogers/Binford Family Partners

This program is designed to match families that have been at Rogers/Binford for at least one year with families who are new to the school.  This creates an opportunity for new families to have a contact person to help them get to know the community and resources available to them.

 

To obtain a sign-up form or questions about this program, contact Jenny Noble-Kuchera at 330-7741 ext. 218 or jkuchera@mccsc.edu.

 

Parents and students are able to check to see if a bus is running late or what bus their child is riding by checking on a link at the MCCSC website.  In an effort to communicate with parents concerning their child’s bus, MCCSC Transportation Department has developed a special link on the school system’s website: www.mccsc.edu. ‘Click’ on the yellow bus icon for “late bus/schedule changes”. 

 

 

PTO President’s Welcome
2008-2009 School Year

Welcome to the 2008-09 school year! The Rogers-Binford Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) works closely with the teachers, administrators, and staff to support school programs, assist students, and promote the involvement of parents in our school.

 

All parents at Rogers and Binford Elementary Schools are automatically members of the Parent Teacher Organization and are invited to attend the PTO meetings.  Please check the PTO Calendar for the specific time and location of meetings.  We encourage you to become involved with the PTO during the school year and the best way to do that is by attending the monthly meetings.   It’s a great way to meet other parents, make a difference in your child’s education, and contribute to the success of our schools.

 

The PTO hosts a number of fun and important activities throughout the school year.  A good way to stay informed about PTO happenings and events is to read the monthly PTO newsletter that is sent home with each Rogers-Binford student.  Please be aware that any PTO information sent home with your student will be on goldenrod colored paper. Only PTO uses this color.  You may also check the PTO bulletin boards located in the hallways at both Rogers and Binford, or visit our PTO website at http://www.mccsc.edu/~binrogpt.
